Similarities and Differences Between Athena and Minerva
To the Greeks, Athena was the goddess of war and wisdom. Athena was one of the virgin goddesses and Minerva was too. They were different because Minerva was more known as the goddess of arts and crafts in Roman mythology, and was hardly associated with war. The Romans had other goddesses that were only goddesses of war like Bellona, so they didn't associate Minerva with war as much as the greeks did with Athena.
